Stompalot was so, so pleased

his feet not in the way

a hand but one with fingers too

and why he could not say

he steps on out with two big feet

and walks from there to here

at faster pace with happy face

that grins from ear to ear.

He has a handle on his head

and holds it in his hand

for this is how he travels

far across the land

some people say, “he’s silly,’

he looks just like his name”!

but it doesn’t matter what they say

he’s happy all the same.
