Philip Aspden was invited by the Art Gallery of NSW to present a workshop for younger members to learn how to draw cartoon characters.

'The Families on Sundays' was a marvellous program at the gallery that ran from the early 90's for many years and Philip appeared performing his Interactive Drawing Shows under various titles as 'Wompybomp Wanders', 'Tellyrun Trails' and 'Fumbly Factory'. During this time, singer/songwriter/performer, Ray Cumming joined Philip in these shows performing the Bushy songs that he created for all the Bushy characters. ​Over three days, one hundred students per day; three hundred in total; created a work on paper inspired by the painting; Mouse in a Teapot. Ten students on each of the days were selected to paint their impression of the painting.
